Sukanya

Painted with Micheal O’Reilly and Brian Watkins for the Royal Opera House production of Ravi Shankar’s Sukanya.

Work involved: sampling, colour mixing and applying three different layers of texture:

First layer - Idenden, fine crumb and PVA glue.

Second layer - Idenden, fillite and PVA glue.

Third layer - Idenden and PVA glue.

The paint was applied in washes and spray to create the impression of sandstone.
