Humiseva Harju

I contributed for the Helsingin Kaupunginteatteri production of Humiseva Harju (Wuthering Heights) a dog house, working alongside Sanna Ala-Ojala. The project involved

sampling, priming, texturing and painting.

Yellow wood texture: Primed the surface in Rosco paint. Applying the first layer of texture using Sitol 1100 kiilto (pressure- sensitive adhesive),

Dicaperl (plaster) and Rosco paint.

The second layer of texture contains the same as the first but in a lighter tone. Lastly painting a series of brown and green washes using Rosco paint and Teknos Natura 15 (matt glaze) to give the impression of ageing.

White wood crackle: the first coat consist of an off white Rosco paint mixture and Sitol 1100 kiilto.

The Second coat made up of Rosco white and Dicaperl. Once dried I applied the same washes I used on the yellow texture wood.

Moss and lichen textures: consists of sawdust, Fillite, Sitol 1100 kiilto, Rosco paint and Dicaperl.

Roof: applied Rosco paint and Teknos Natura 15 using a spray gun with a dottle effect
